Eye on Films – The Showroom – 16th-20th April

Eye on Films is a unique, global network of film professionals, which guarantees the circulation of a selection of first feature films in festivals partners in Europe and third countries, and the commercial exploitation of these films by distribution partners in Europe and third countries.

As part of this initiative, the Showroom is showing four films in April.

The highlight of the quintet is Mourning (Soog), an Iranian film by first time writer/director Morteza Farshbaf, and award winner at Pusan and Deauville. A violent quarrel breaks out between a couple at midnight. They depart for Tehran in the middle of the night, but something terrible happens on their way.

Also screening between 16th-20th April:

The Mole (Kret) – Paweł suddenly discovers his father’s picture on the cover of a Polish tabloid newspaper with the headline “traitor”…

Red Heart (Dli Sur) – Shirin and Soran, two teenagers, are secretly sweethearts. To be together, they have no choice but to escape.

Nuit#1 – Anne Emond’s dazzling debut feature is a bold and intimate study of a one-night stand.
