Let’s hope the skies stay blue and the sunshine prevails as we head into April. Another busy month full of eclecticisms music wise, here are our picks for the start of summer.
The 3rd sees Acoustic Loveliness Presents… move from The Rutland Arms to the hills of Commonside and into The Closed Shop. Grab yourself a pint and listen to some laid back tunes from the likes of Hungarian Lanterns, Matthew Richardson and Andrew Duxfield.
Surf poppers JAWS play Bungalows And Bears on the 4th support comes from local four piece Tropic of Youth and Londoners Playlounge.
Low Duo are back in action on the 6th, with the launch of their new album Dive And Slide Into The Blue at The Great Gatsby. With David J Roch and The Hudares supporting it’s bound to be a great night.
Up at The Harley on the 13th are Scaramanga Six and Cut Your Wings, expect things to get a bit loud and a bit crazy and hell of a lot of fun. Also at The Harley on the 17th are Yarbo and the 24th sees Manchester’s Danny Mahon taking to the stage.
As the month draws to an end and making their long awaited comeback, celebrating the release of their latest album CHORO, are the wonderful Bromheads who play the Leadmill on the 25th. Friday the 26th sees Soundclash at Plug presenting the Monday Club who again make their return to the stage of steel with support from Downtown Roots, Ian Schofield and The Karma Folk, Fatty Brown and The food Division.
