[wide][/wide]Hello you warm-hearted, exotically moustached fund-raisers, you! Whilst some of you may have been walking around Sheffield this month thinking, ‘Wow, he would be well attractive if it wasn’t for that huge caterpillar under his nose’, don’t sweat it because it was all in the name of Movember. What the heck is Movember you ask? It’s the month where men attempt to grow some facial hair to raise money and awareness in support of prostate and testicular cancer charities. So as this glorious month comes to an end, we at Counterfeit thought it was only right to celebrate ‘the big shave off’ with a wrap up party at The Green Room. If you haven’t got round to sponsoring a moustached male friend, this is your chance to donate, win prizes and get down to some bands.
And it’s not just guys that are doing their bit for charity; this event is the result of a collaboration project set up by Sheffield Girl, the brand that brought you local magazine, The Sheffield Girl Times, and goes to show there’s nothing like a bit of female solidarity. We’ll be holding a raffle and what awesome prizes they are… The lovely lads of Hey Sholay are giving away a signed copy of their album as well as two tickets to see their December gig! There may be one or two surprises on the night, including a visit from a certain demon barber. To top everything off, here’s the line up for your listening pleasure. Young Peculiar will be joined by an assortment of new Sheffield talent including Seven Tors, Chloe-Jade Simmons, The Whittlers fronted by Kid Conventional, and opening the show, Goodnight, Little Bear. The event is a very reasonable £2 entry on the door, so Sheffield guys and gals, join us and put your hands in your pockets.
