Festival No.6

Sneaking unexpectedly on to the scene in a way new festivals rarely do, scooping major awards and being downright amazing, Festival No.6 takes place in the village of Portmeirion in Wales. You wouldn’t expect such a beautiful place to lend itself well to a music festival, but it does and it offers so much more than music: Poetry readings, a fire garden, a beach and a forest which you can get lost in and dance the night away under the stars.

Headlining are My Bloody Valentine and Manic Street Preachers, and they are joined by an impressive support cast including: Chic ft Nile Rodgers, Everything Everything, James Blake, Lianne La Haves, Johnny Marr, Neon Neon, These New Puritans, Jagwar Ma, Public Service Broadcasting, Clinic, Wire and I Am Kloot.

There are also some great DJs (Frankie Knuckles, Daddy G, David Holmes, Norman Jay…), arts and culture (John Cooper Clarke, Caitlin Moran, Marc Riley, Stuart Maconie…), comedians (Mark Thomas, Seann Walsh, Justin Moorhouse..), cinema, the woodland raves, woodland trails (with special surprises) and a whole host of other treats for all the family.
