Set in the grounds of a working farm Beatherder holds the emphasis of a truly independent festival with its DIY approach and lack of corporate sponsorship and big brands. Stripped back it provides a heap of delights set in leafy spaces complete with several stages including a dance stage in the middle of the woods, a little space called Quality Street with specially erected areas fitted with Victorian and Wild West shop fronts which turn into crazy discos when it gets dark.
There are a number of real ales available, a variety of different foods on offer as well as activities for all the family to participate in. If the weather turns nasty there are a plenty of places with solid wooden floors to keep on partying or to simply chill in.
Beatherder is a special kind of festival, unique in approach and longevity and it simply feels much bigger than it is as you follow the winding path through the forest glade into the fun and frolics of the great outdoors.
