Wwolves, an Alternative band from Derby, released their debut double A-side single “Something’s Got To Give”/”It’s Morning” last month, through their self-owned label “Intention Industries”.
The band started off as one man’s side-project, Paul Whittington Burdock and Ejectorseat bassist, and has now transformed into a band of great potential and quality.
“It’s Morning” conveys a unique blend of acoustical lead vocals accompanied excellently with soothing violin inserts, ensuring for a relaxed sound similar to that of bands such as ‘The XX’. The song keeps a similar tempo throughout, which portrays a real passion in the lyrics stated.
“Something’s Got To Give”, similarly using acoustical leads but through the use of a catchy riff. The song creates a beautiful contrast, which alongside the well-written lyrics makes for a great listen.
A live band is being assembled to play a number of gigs throughout the summer of 2011. The CD is available to download via iTunes and Soundcloud.
