Story of Film: An Odyssey on Wednesday 18th April at the Showroom Cinema with Q&A

When it comes to film, there are few people more insightful and knowledgeable than Mark Cousins. Last year his 15 part history of film, Story of Film: An Odyssey, aired on More4 to rave reviews. Based on the Moviedrome Presenter’s 2004 Book, the series takes the evolution of worldwide film in its historical context, refreshingly not just focussing on Hollywood and Western Cinema.

On Wednesday, the Showroom Cinema will be showing a 100 minute film comprising Mark’s favourite moments from the series. If you didn’t manage to catch any of the series, it’s a fascinating insight into cinema history narrated by the relaxing Ulster tones of the man himself. He will be on hand for a Q&A after the screening.

Regardless of how much you love film, I can guarantee it won’t be as much as Mark.
