Sheffield Gig Selection: 17th -30th September 2012

It’s that time of year again when the city of Sheffield gets a certain buzz as the students return, whilst some people take to higher ground, you’ll find us just carrying on as normal hitting the best of the gigs the city has to offer.

The final two weeks of September play host a varied array of music delights, here are our picks for the fortnight:

Monday the 17th sees a ‘Fresher’s Week Special’ at SOYO with Blue Lip Feel headlining, support comes from Tropic of Youth and Seven Tours. If the fresher’s tag scares you slightly then Deep Time play The Harley on the 18th.

Opus Acoustics bring their wares to The Riverside on the 20th, with delightful laidback vibes from Leonie Evans and General Wolf .

The 23rd sees SBSquared Presents: Black Moon Rising plus support at Corporation whilst at The Leadmill The Fratellis are here to show their Chelsea Daggers and there’ll probably be a whole lot of jumping when they do.

Metalcore Sheffielder’s While She Sleeps head to Corporation on Friday the 28th, whilst on the 29th King Charles takes centre stage at The Leadmill.
