Dog is Dead, Anothers Blood & Puzzles – Plug – 12th March

2012 is set to be a very good year for Nottingham quintet Dog is Dead. Their breezy summer sound will undoubtedly make them a big hit on the summer festival circuit, after already building up a strong reputation last year. Another Blood are the new project from the lead singer of Red Light Company and have been hotly tipped for great things this year. Spector & BLESSA – Bowery – 14th March

Spread all over “ones to watch” lists for 2012, the Manchester lads are taking a breather from supporting Flo and her machine to play a free show at the Bowery. Support from Sheffield’s BLESSA who are just capital.

Blue Lips Feel – Frog & Parrot – 16th March

They have a new EP out which you can check out on their Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/BlueLipFeel) and are playing the Frog for free. It should be lively.

Thomas Truax, Post War Glamour Girls & Magpies – The Greystones – 17th March

Enter the world of the bizarre with Thomas Truax. Experience an array of instruments from realms of a dystopian Victorian fantasy. Support from Leed’s Post War Glamour Girls as well as a rare glimpse of Magpies.

Summer Camp, Fixers & Best Friends – Harley – 19th March

More sunshine down at the Harley, with retro-leaning pop from London duo Summer Camp leading the charge; ably assisted by Oxford electro-pop starlets Fixers, and Sheffield’s own slice of summer, Best Friends.

Johnny Kearney & Lucy Farrell and Neil McSweeney – The Greystones – 20th March

The BBC Radio 2 folk award nominees return to Sheffield after successful tours with The Unthanks and Bellowhead. They are one of the most exciting young folk acts around. Support from our very own Mr Neil McSweeney.

Sieze the Chair & Best Friends – Bungalows – 22nd March
