Somewhere on a farm in the Ribble Valley a little secret party has been launched by local DJ David Tupling. Counterfeit had the pleasure of being invited and so we got our dancing shoes ready.
The web of mystery surrounding the event had been expertly orchestrated; teasing enough details of the night to get everyone worked up and eager but never giving away the location until the night before.
Turning The Tables (TTT) which originally started as a one off charity fundraiser, tonight was held on Backridge farm in a beautifully converted barn with two rooms of entertainment and a separate chill out room. TTT certainly lived up to its reputation, creating a unique atmosphere with a fantastic line up of DJs supporting Anne Savage in the main room and keyboard supremo Davos in the second.
DJ sets from Ridzey and Mr H in the main room helped to warm the crowd up before Ste Brydges and Pedro delivered a back to back set with both DJs complementing the others style. Event organiser David Tupling took to the decks with a carefully crafted set before handing over to Anne Savage who delivered a high energy set keeping the crowd moving. Gugar and Tim Toil of Toil Trees fame helped to ease the night into the early hours.
Meanwhile in the second room DJ sets from Mad C, Pasky, Matt Simpson and Paul Bibby kept the music thumping and helped to get the crowd energised before Davos delivered an exhillarating live mashup of piano house classics. Listening to Davos will bring back so many memories of your clubbing days and you’ll recognise many of the tunes that he plays.
TTT seems to have its feet firmly planted and promises to offer bigger events in unexpected locations. If you are lucky enough to find them they may well be an unforgettable experience.
