Tramlines Artists Picks

[wide]Tramlines2013 | Tramlines Artists Picks[/wide]So we’ve got the tickets, bought the program and now we’ve only the T-Shirt left to buy. So while we peruse over the who, when, why and what of our own itinerary and with the hope of planning our own festival agenda we asked some of our favourite local acts three questions about Tramlines: where and when they’re playing, what they enjoy about the festival and who they are looking forward to seeing, here’s what they came up with:

Cut Your Wings – Russ Frisby

Where/When are you playing?

Playing O2 academy Friday night, Frog and Parrot Saturday evening 6pm

What do you enjoy most about Tramlines?

See Emily Play – Emily Ireland

Where/When are you playing?

I’m playing on the Saturday at Weston Park at 4pm, accompanied by Stannington Brass Band and then at Soyo on the Sunday, also at 4pm.

What do you enjoy most about Tramlines?

I think the thing I love most about Tramlines is the atmosphere, there’s always this feeling of togetherness, a sort of pride that we’re all part of this amazing festival and we’re all making it awesome in some way. Tramlines seem to be a lot more about the community than the headliners, or it is for me, at least.

Who are you looking forward to seeing?

I’m looking forward to seeing Lianne La Havas (hoping she’s not going to be playing at the same time as the Hot Soles) Screaming Maldini and Neil McSweeney

Can’t wait to see our boys Catfish and The Bottlemen close the festival at SOYO on Sunday evening, it will be biblical.
