March is a busy month with the Michael Frayn Season really standing-out.

However, there is plenty more going on:

Stile Antico – Sheffield Cathedral – 2nd March

Stile Antico is an ensemble of young British singers, now established as one of the most original and exciting new vocal groups. The group’s most recent release, Song of Songs, won the 2009 Gramophone Award for Early Music and reached the top of the US Classical Chart.

Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland – Drama Studios – 7th-10th March

A little girl falls into the weird and wonderful wonderland and chaos erupts. How will this mad world cope with this sane intruder? We will certainly meet many bizarre and often quite disturbing characters along her journey. It all culminates in a trail of sanity in which everyone’s insanity is questioned. SUTCO presents.

The Sound of Music – Lyceum – 13th-17th March

Following on from their successful production of Sweeny Todd, the Croft House Theatre Company bring the Rodgers and Hammerstein classic to the Lyceum.

Love Labour’s Lost – Lantern Theatre – 14th -24th March

DGP take the Bard’s most flamboyantly intellectual comedy, take it to a new location, and give it a new twist.

Thin Air – Lantern Theatre – 30th -31st March

Cotton Grass Theatre perform a new play by Carnegie award-winning writer Bernie Doherty. It’s the supernatural story of a First World War fighter pilot who returns home possessing a secret that will haunt his community for generations.

Orchestre National du Capitole de Toulouse – Sheffield City Hall – 31st March
